I don't know why it is taking so long for comments to show up. The same thing happened when I commented over at your place. I got e-mail copies of both of your comments, so I knew what was going on. I republished the entire site to see if that would fix it, and apparently it did.
ok. well, it was so good, it bore repeating anyway! seems to be some goofy server issue.
I think I have fixed the problem with comments going missing. I installed a stat counter earlier this evening, and the problems started subsequent to that.
Once I removed the code, the comments came back. Everything is loading faster now as well.
